Our Karmann Ghia Door Hinges are GUARANTEED FOR LIFE. As long as the hinge you purchase is stamped with the KGPR “KG” logo, you can rest assured they won’t ever crack, bend or break, or we’ll replace them free. For life!
Don’t forget to install new Check Straps. The rubber coated steel strap keeps your door from opening too far and damaging the body work. They also keep the door held in the open position, freeing up your knee from the task 😉
Many cars still have the steel strap portion present, and many owners think it is supposed to be that way, but it is not! The bare steel strap is missing the rubber coating that was present on all Karmann Ghias when they left the factory.
